We isolate the work area with containment, shut down HVAC returns where needed, and use N95 or half-mask respirators, gloves, and eye protection to work safely. Depending on the material and the extent of growth, we clean using HEPA vacuuming, damp-wiping with a detergent solution, and controlled removal of contaminated materials, which are sealed in plastic bags and disposed of properly. Because mold takes hold when materials stay wet, we dry affected areas within 24 to 48 hours and apply anti-microbial treatment to help prevent regrowth.
