About Restoration 1 of Horry County
When disaster strikes your Horry County home, you need more than a restoration company. You need a neighbor.
Restoration 1 of Horry County has been serving the Grand Strand community since 2016 — locally owned, locally operated, and here when you need us most. We are not a storm chaser or a national call center. We are your neighbors, and we treat every job like it is our own home.
Who We Are
Restoration 1 of Horry County is a locally owned and operated full-service restoration company serving Myrtle Beach, Conway, North Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach, Murrells Inlet, Little River, Pawleys Island, and surrounding communities throughout Horry and Georgetown Counties.
Owner Jake Gervin opened Restoration 1 of Horry County in 2016, bringing the nationally recognized Restoration 1 brand to the Grand Strand with a commitment to local, personal service. We have grown into a team of 14 dedicated restoration professionals who live and work right here in this community. When you call us, you are not reaching a call center in another state. You are reaching your neighbors — people who understand this community, this climate, and what it takes to protect your home.

From our project managers and certified technicians to our office staff, every member of the Restoration 1 of Horry County team is committed to one goal — getting your life back to normal as quickly as possible.
Jake Gervin — Owner, Restoration 1 of Horry County
Jake Gervin is the owner of Restoration 1 of Horry County, which he launched in 2016 out of his garage with one employee. Today the company has grown to a 14-person team with a 4.9-star rating and is one of the highest rated restoration companies in Horry County. He is IICRC-Certified.
Before entering the restoration industry, Jake spent 27 years in the newspaper business — including seven years as a Regional Director overseeing multiple properties — giving him the sales, operations, and leadership background to build and run a strong local business.
Jake has called Myrtle Beach home since 2009. He is a supporter of the Grand Strand Humane Society and can usually be found cycling, in the gym, or at a live music venue when he is not working.
Sean Rose — Operations Manager
Sean Rose didn't plan on a career in restoration — but when a hurricane tore through the northeast and a friend needed extra hands, Sean showed up to help. What started as a temporary gig clearing water damage turned into a full-time tech position, and he never looked back. With over a decade of restoration experience across New York and South Carolina, Sean is IICRC-Certified and brings serious operational knowledge to his role at Restoration 1 of Horry County.
Originally from Walden, New York, Sean made his way to Myrtle Beach in a way that feels very on-brand for him — he came down on vacation, went to an interview just for fun, got offered the job on the spot, and moved here six weeks later. That was back in October 2013, and the Grand Strand has been home ever since.
Sean is family through and through. He and his wife Lauren are parents to three kids — Maverick, Maddox, and Navy — plus two dogs named Jake and Maci who keep things lively at home. When he's not running operations, you'll find him at the shooting range, tending his garden, or deep in his collection of Pokémon and sports cards. Sean wants customers to know that loyalty isn't just a word to him — it's how he operates, at work and at home.
Marcus Owens — Mitigation Manager
Marcus Owens brings nine years of restoration experience and a leadership mindset to his role as Mitigation Manager at Restoration 1 of Horry County. A Myrtle Beach native, Marcus knows this community inside and out — and he's deeply invested in the people who call it home. Before entering the restoration industry, he served in the Army Reserves, where he developed the discipline and work ethic that still define how he leads his team today.
On the certifications front, Marcus holds IICRC credentials as a Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT), Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD), and Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT). He's also completed training in leadership development, Xactimate estimating software, and lead and asbestos awareness — making him one of the most well-rounded mitigation professionals on the Grand Strand.
When he's not developing his team or guiding homeowners through the mitigation process, Marcus is a devoted Clemson Tigers fan who enjoys hitting the gym, watching football, and spending time at the beach with friends and family. At home, he's kept company by Sheeba, his Shih Tzu, who reportedly has strong opinions about the remote control.
Chris Delegram — Repair Project Manager
Chris Delegram brings four years of restoration experience to his role as Repair Project Manager at Restoration 1 of Horry County — joining the team shortly after relocating from Effort, Pennsylvania to the Myrtle Beach area. He's become an integral part of the operation ever since, overseeing repairs from start to finish and making sure every home is returned to its owners in the best possible condition.
A licensed CDL-B driver with a sharp eye for craftsmanship, Chris takes real pride in the details. For him, the job isn't done until the finished product looks as good — if not better — than it did before disaster struck. That commitment to quality shows in every project he touches.
When he's not on the job, Chris is a family man through and through. He and his wife Shayna are proud parents to daughter Charlotte and are expecting a new addition to the family this June. At home, he's also kept company by Bane, his Shepherd-Mastiff mix. In his downtime, you'll find him woodworking, wrenching on cars, or simply enjoying time with the people — and pup — who matter most.
Chris Pacyna — Estimator
When it comes to assessing damage and building an accurate scope of work, Chris Pacyna knows exactly what he's looking at. With four years in the restoration industry, Chris holds IICRC certifications as a Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) — plus OSHA 10 certification — bringing a level of expertise that homeowners and insurance adjusters can count on. He joined Restoration 1 of Horry County one year ago, drawn by the opportunity to grow into an estimator role and take the next step in his career — and he's been delivering ever since.
A Myrtle Beach native, Chris is as local as it gets — he knows this community, and he genuinely cares about the people in it. That's what keeps him motivated when the work gets tough. When he's not on an estimate, you'll find him on the golf course, out hunting or fishing, or at home with his yellow lab River. On Saturdays in the fall, he's firmly in Garnet and Black territory — a proud USC Gamecocks fan through and through.
Miranda Heath — Customer Service Specialist
Miranda Heath is often the first voice homeowners hear when disaster strikes — and they're lucky for it. With four years of experience in the restoration industry, including one year with Restoration 1 of Horry County, Miranda brings both knowledge and genuine compassion to every call. For her, helping people in their most stressful moments isn't just a job — it's something she truly cares about.
Originally from Rochester, New York, Miranda made her way to the Grand Strand to be closer to family — and she's brought a little bit of the north with her, including a fierce loyalty to the Philadelphia Eagles. When she's not guiding homeowners through the restoration process, you'll find her deep in a book, gaming, spending time with her niece and nephew, or volunteering in the community. She shares her home with her two calico cats, Autumn and Boots, who reportedly have no opinion on football.
Haley Corn — Admin
Haley Corn is the organizational backbone of Restoration 1 of Horry County, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes so the rest of the team can focus on taking care of homeowners. Originally from the Chattanooga, Tennessee area and raised in Anderson, South Carolina, Haley and her husband Tyler made the move to Myrtle Beach in 2014 — living out their dream of life near the ocean, and they haven't looked back since.
Before joining Restoration 1, Haley built a diverse professional background in financial services and hospitality, including roles as an Admin Assistant to a Financial Advisor and Guest Services Supervisor at a hotel. She also spent four years as a stay-at-home mom — a role she'll tell you requires more organizational skill than most jobs. When a part-time opportunity in restoration came her way through a personal connection, she was ready to get back in the workforce and hit the ground running.
At the end of the day, Haley's motivation is simple — her two sons, Indy and Remy. Being the best she can be for them drives everything she does. When Remy was born, Jake made it possible for her to work from home — so if you ever hear a baby in the background on a call, that's Remy making his presence known. When she's not at the office (or working from her living room), you'll find her at the beach, trying new restaurants, reading, or doing just about anything that gets her outside. As for customers, Haley wants you to know one thing: she's always happy to help — and she means it.
